True artisan speciality coffee roasted with passion in the New Forest.
Having caught the coffee bug on a trip to visit an old friend in Melbourne, I discovered what real coffee should taste like. A small cafe on the outskirts of Melbourne called Crowded House made the most amazing flat whites and lattes which literally blew me and my wife away.
On returning to the UK we tried to seek out something similar. Although there is some fantastic speciality coffee being produced in the UK nothing quite hit the mark.
So, being a bit of a foodie I mulled over the idea of trying to create my own blend. Easy right? Hmmm maybe!
Fast forward to the present and two years worth of reading, training, researching and generally boring my friends and family about what good coffee should be and we’re here!
I’ve converted part of my garage into the roastery, giving birth to the company name Red Garage Coffee. Emphasising the fact I’m no marketier, I save my creativity for the coffee!
Supported by my wonderful wife, Gemma, I have been able to develop my roasting skills and my blend over the last two years. My blend is called Tempo, after my love of cycling, although I rarely ride at tempo these days!!
Tempo has received rave reviews from friends and family and most importantly our four year old daughter, Poppy. She absolutely loves the smell of the roasted beans (she’s not allowed to drink it just yet!!)
More blends and single origin will follow in the near future and we plan to work with our customers to improve your experience of our coffee so your feedback is always welcome and encouraged.
